Starting in the early morning of June 2, 2010, a lone gunman, Derrick Bird,  a Whitehaven cabbie, went on a shooting spree through the rural streets of Cumbria, England and by the time he ended it all by taking his own life, he had shot to death 12 people and injured 11 more… ranking it as one of the worst mass murders in the history of the UK…

“As 12 people are murdered and 11 others injured in a shooting spree lasting several hours, Panorama’s Richard Bilton reports on the events of Wednesday 2nd June with first hand accounts from eyewitnesses, emergency teams and survivors. What made Derrick Bird switch from quiet cabbie to gun toting psychopath and were any warning signs missed?…” BBC
