Carl Panzram – The Spirit of Hatred and Revenge (2011)
Carl Panzram‘s self-professed motto was: “Rob them all… Rape them all… Kill them all”… and he certainly tried… Before he was finally captured, Panzram had committed 22 murders and 1000’s of robberies and rapes..
Interesting documentary by John Boroski, that examines the case of one of America’s earliest serial killers on record…
“Included is footage of Panzram’s handwritten papers, Leavenworth Penitentiary, Clinton Prison and Red Wing Youth Correctional Facility, and an exclusive interview with Panzram’s jail guard Henry Lesser. John DiMaggio, Bender from Fox’s Futurama, provides the voice of Carl Panzram. From John Borowski, award winning director of H.H. Holmes and Albert Fish…..” Panzram.com

I don’t like the vibe, demeanor and attitude of that blonde woman. She seems very cold.
I take that comment back. He deserves no pity. I just thought that she seemed cold but hey-look who she’s making her comment ABOUT.
Then again, one has to admit, he IS a product of his various environments and those who abused him; almost from day 1. Like an abused dog. He’d gone vicious. Had he not suffered, he’d not have inflicted suffering on others, mind you, innocent others. This is not to excuse his evil acts but maybe a way to at least understand how a man as such comes to BE. Abuse begets abuse in form of lashing out; inspires it. Feeds it. Prisons are full of men and women who’ve endured horrendous abuse. And yet, not all abuse-victims go on to lash out and mirror what has been done unto them. There was a choice and he and others chose to either perpetuate the abuse or break that chain and evolve above that. Learn from it. Sad all around and mostly, of course, for all those innocent victims. This is a very interesting documentary/play as it helps to understand what makes such a person. And of course, the propensity for psychopathy …Good production this was.
