Crime | Murder Documentaries: “The Man Who Knew Too Much (2021)”

The Man Who Knew Too Much, is a terrific documentary by Michael Oswald that tells the story of Colin Wallace, an ex British Military Intelligence Officer, that was almost framed for murder.

Stationed in Northern Ireland as a Psychological Operations Officer, Colin Wallace’s job was to cause as much chaos as possible while trying to infiltrate the happenings of the IRA. He helped to spread fake news, created a witchcraft scare, smeared politicians and attempted to divide and create conflict amongst communities, organizations and individuals.

He fell out of favor with members of the intelligence community and soon found himself accused of murder.

“Michael Oswald’s extraordinary new film about former covert operative Colin Wallace highlights British intelligence and military psychological operations in Northern Ireland and begs the question: do they continue today with different political targets?” UMAR NASSER
