The Pig Farm (2011)

The Pig Farm (2011)

Robert ‘Willie’ Pickton, also known as ‘The Pig Farm Killer‘ is suspected to be the worst serial killer in Canadian history…  Although prosecuted and sentenced to life in prison for the murders of 6 women, Pickton claims to have brutally slaughtered as many as 49 prostitutes at his ‘pig farm‘ in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia …

Absolutely fascinating documentary from CTV’s Christine Nielsen  that goes deep inside the Robert Pickton case: incredible interviews with Pickton’s inner circle of friends & associates explaining life on the farm w/ Willie; honest testimony from the lead investigator in the case & dramatic realizations help to create a classic in the serial killer documentary genre.

“In the wake of his conviction in 2007 — and the subsequent lifting of the publication ban on the case last month — “The Pig Farm” aims to explain why Pickton was able to continue killing for years before police finally apprehended him. Writer and producer Christine Nielsen said the documentary shows that Pickton’s “inner circle, the people who hung out at the farm with him, the people who worked with him, who were his friends,” knew things early in his murder spree but never reported them to authorities.”  CTV
