American Justice: Dealing with the Devil (2001)

In 1979, after testifying about a federal prison slaying in Atlanta, Marion “Mad Dog” Pruett,  was given $800, a new name (Charles “Sonny” Pearson), and placed in the US Federal Witness Protection Program. With his new identity in tow, Pruett went on a 2 year crime spree that took the lives of 5 innocent people.

Pruett was executed by lethal injection in 1999.

“A $4,000 coke habit – that’s apparently what fuelled mass murderer Marion Albert Pruett’s lethal spree. He even went as far as to call himself a ‘mad-dog killer’ for his actions.” EOTD
